CoRFiLaC is a research organization, with public law personality, which operates on a regional basis and is based in Ragusa.
The main activity of the Consortium is aimed at the study of traditional Sicilian dairy productions.
Several activities put in place by our center such as: applied research activities along the entire dairy chain, from animal feed to the final consumer to the support of small farms; product certification such as Ragusano DOP, Piacentino Ennese DOP and Pecorino Siciliano DOP; analysis and technology transfer services; technical-professional training; and dissemination and promotion of product quality.
Several paths, events and projects have been developed to transfer the quality of Sicilian products to consumers, chefs, professionals, and schools through taste workshops and live experiences on typical Sicilian dairy processes.
