Sea without borders in the Hyblaean provinces: beauty, inclusiveness and quality tourism

The Hyblaean provinces, located in southeastern Sicily, are a must-see tourist destination due to the unique combination of natural beauty, inclusiveness and safety.

The coasts of the Hyblaean provinces offer some of the most striking views in Sicily. Golden beaches, crystal clear waters and nature reserves captivate visitors from all over the world. Marina di Ragusa is one of the most popular resorts, with a long beach of fine sand and a lively promenade full of restaurants and bars. Punta Secca, famous for Inspector Montalbano’s home, offers a quiet and charming beach, while Sampieri is known for its wild and unspoiled beach surrounded by dunes and Mediterranean vegetation.

The beaches are not only spectacular, but also renowned for their ecological quality and impeccable services. Sea without borders: accessibility and inclusiveness

Proud to be at the forefront of accessibility, the “Sea without Borders” project offers dedicated services for people with physical and mental disabilities. From July through August, medical care and specially designed infrastructure are offered at ten locations along the coast to ensure an unforgettable seaside experience for all. From July 1 through August 31, daily social and health care services will be provided from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Last year, 261 people with disabilities took advantage of this service. General Director Dr. Giuseppe Drago of the Ragusa Provincial Health Authority says, “We are happy to carry out this mission in the name of social integration, health promotion and accessible tourism.” The project aims to meet the expectations of the most vulnerable patients and their families, who are now loyal to this service.
